01What is being requested
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, via the Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur, is seeking a framework agreement for services related to the Space Activities Act (Wra). The contractor must perform supervision audits and prepare expert reports, for both full and delimited audits. Additionally, there is a need for aerospace technical expertise, space law knowledge, and support regarding financial and insurance-related issues. The assignment is open and aimed at safeguarding national space activities in line with international treaties.
Under the Outer Space Treaty and the Liability Convention, states are responsible for their national space activities. To properly manage the many Dutch initiatives in spaceflight and to comply with the international treaty obligations of the Netherlands (the UN Space Treaties), the Wra is in effect.
