The setting up, execution and evaluation of simulations for small modular reactors (SMRs) to increase the knowledge base of stakeholders across five specific themes.
On the way to a climate-neutral Netherlands in 2050, the cabinet has the ambition to make electricity production in our country CO2-neutral by 2035 at the latest. To achieve this, the cabinet is relying on nuclear energy, among other things. The 2021 coalition agreement contained plans for the preparatory steps for two new nuclear power plants and for keeping the nuclear power plant in Borssele open longer.
