01What is being requested
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport is exploring the possibility for multiple service providers to set up regional emergency power points. These points must provide emergency power and shelter for at least 2,000 persons (preferably up to 6,000 persons) for a maximum of 72 hours.
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), Medicines and Medical Technology directorate, is preparing a possible Contract/Tender. It concerns assistance during emergencies such as extreme weather, war, or a major outage. Facilities such as home batteries and emergency generators in the home are impractical, expensive, and require maintenance.
