As part of its regional task, the Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM) is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Neonatal Hearing Screening (NGS). In this context, national monitors are prepared annually to monitor the quality and accessibility of this screening, to identify bottlenecks (within the care chain), to implement adjustments, and also to provide accountability to the client VWS and the chain partners.
