01What is being requested
Delivery and installation of one (1) SEM/EDX including all-in maintenance for a period of nine (9) years.
The reason for this procurement process is the need to replace an existing SEM/EDX that is approaching the end of its service life with a state-of-the-art SEM/EDX. This will be used for MIT research and other research carried out within the Microtraces and Materials team. During MIT (Microanalysis Invasive Trauma) research, it is investigated with or by which object injuries were caused that are found on a victim of a crime during a forensic autopsy. This MIT research into the “manner of death” is performed in a multidisciplinary context by the expertise areas Forensic Anthropology, Microtrace
