01What is being requested

National project with ProRail B.V. for the realization of a monitoring system for track stability at 14 locations within three PHS corridors (SAAL, Tilburg-Meteren-Boxtel, Alkmaar-Amsterdam). The proposal must provide insight into how the frequency and speed of axle passages affect pore water pressure.

The objective of this project (C-MLT002) is to realize as soon as possible a successful monitoring of track stability in three PHS corridors, namely (1) Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere-Lelystad (SAAL), (2) Tilburg-Meteren-Boxtel, and (3) Alkmaar-Amsterdam (AA) for the benefit of project C-MLT002. Based on the monitoring results, AM Geotechniek will determine to what extent increasing the frequency and/or speed of train passages influences the stability of the track bed.
