01What is being requested

The Municipality of Amsterdam wishes to hire a new service provider for the deployment of crane trucks and/or drivers to tow incorrectly parked vehicles and vehicles without paid parking to the vehicle depot. The current agreement expires on 31 October 2020, as a result of which a public EU procurement is being initiated. The tender focuses on selecting a professional, customer-friendly market party that highly values reliability, accuracy, and customer orientation. The service must be available for flexible (in)hiring, comply with safety and insurance standards, and provide the municipality with a reliable and efficient solution for towing vehicles.

The municipality currently owns 5 towing vehicles. These towing vehicles are used to tow incorrectly parked vehicles or vehicles for which no parking fee has been paid to the vehicle depot. The vehicle depot is the first storage location for the towed vehicles of the Municipality of Amsterdam. In addition to its own fleet with its own staff, there is a need for the flexible (in)hiring of crane trucks and/or crane truck drivers.
