The Municipality of Utrecht will be working on the development of the Beurskwartier and Papendorp areas (including Groenewoud) in the coming years. This concerns new residential areas with approximately 5,200 and 3,650 homes respectively, including associated facilities. The first buildings are expected to be completed from 2029 onwards. The area developments are both dependent on the realization of commercial and social real estate, such as offices, retail (including a supermarket), schools and – for Papendorp – a mobility hub.
